Bosch offers offline leak testing of RABS gloves– 27-Apr-2010

Bosch Packaging Technology’s KHD 1000 tests gloves for leaks using a validatable method before installation in the sterile area. By eliminating the need to deploy testing equipment in the sterile area, offline testing simplifies the production process and significantly contributes to increased product quality and safety, particularly in the case of barrier systems such as RABS, the company says.

Iconics, a US provider of web-enabled software for Microsoft Windows operating systems, has released Energy Analytics, the latest component to its BizViz family of analytic solutions. Energy Analytics assists companies with energy conservation by providing data to help them improve their decisionmaking. The company says this information allows customers to reduce energy consumption, aggregate and summarise energy usage by location, and forecast energy costs over time.

Pacamor Kubar Bearings expands cleanroom– 17-Sep-2009

To meet growing demand from aerospace and maintenance companies, US-based Pacamor Kubar Bearings (PKB) of Troy, NY, is expanding its Class 10,000 cleanroom. The company is to double the size of its ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100:2004 certified manufacturing cleanroom space in an expansion that will be completed in the fourth quarter 2009. It will be equipped to provide complete bearing assembly processes including component inspection, bearing assembly, lubrication, specialist inspection processes, secondary operations, testing and packaging capabilities.

Hygienic design ultrasonic detector withstands wash-down environments– 21-May-2009

US-based Banner Engineering has introduced a stainless steel ultrasonic sensor that withstands the heat and high wash pressures of sanitary operations. The U-GAGE M25U is said to be the first ultrasonic sensor with both hygienic design using FDA-approved materials and IP69K rating for use in harsh environments, making it suitable for demanding food, beverage and pharmaceutical applications.

International standards for the monitoring of airborne particles apply to all cleanrooms or clean zones. The international committee, TC209 Working Group 1, has been examining potential revisions to the first two sections of the ISO 14644 document.
