Actiprotect respirator mask protects against airborne influenza virus– 23-Jul-2009
GSK has developed the Actiprotect disposable respirator mask, which is said to protect the wearer from inhaling airborne influenza virus. It includes an antiviral coating and has been shown to inactivate all influenza strains, including previous strains of H1N1 and H5N1 and an influenza B strain. It has not yet been tested against the pandemic (H1N1) 2009 strain.
