ORIGIN was established in 2007 through an MBO of the former Metron Technology cleanroom laundry business, which itself had 10 years experience mainly in the microelectronics sector. ORIGIN operates a modern cleanroom laundry facility, with the highest standard being ISO class 4, allowing us to process all classes of garments including sterile GMP  A/B for the Life Sciences sector.  ORIGIN is owned and managed by a team with over 70 years combined experience in high technology cleanroom manufacturing and outsourced service provision giving a unique insight into the requirements of the sectors.

ORIGIN’s facilities have been audited and approved by many of the major multinational Pharmaceutical manufacturers for sterile and non sterile garment processing.  Cleanrooms are independently validated every 6 months, De-ionised process water is tested and validated quarterly and settle plates and swab testing is undertaken every other month to ensure that garments are processed under strictly controlled conditions week in week out.  ORIGIN’s systems are accredited to the latest ISO 9001:2008 standards and a programme of continuous improvement ensures that best practice is employed throughout the company’s activities
 
In February 2011 ORIGIN announced a formal partnership with Fishers Services to expand capabilities into workwear including High Care garments like Lab Coats.  These garments will be processed in Fisher’s plants in Scotland and Newcastle all of which operate the BS EN 14065.2002(RABC)  systems for prevention of microbiological contamination.  In addition to the enhanced workwear capabilities ORIGIN now benefits from access to a second cleanroom laundry facility for total loss contingency
 
ORIGIN has an established a range of garments for all cleanroom classes and applications including antimicrobial fabrics for Life Sciences.  While the range includes standard designs and fabrics customers are encouraged to consider alternatives which will result in a bespoke garment solution best suited to the individual application.  Manufactured in Asia but to European sizing patterns the garments provide a cost effective alternative without the quality, comfort and fit problems associated with typically lower cost Asian manufactured alternatives
