BioWelder TC is a fast, safe and robust solution for welding large and liquid-filled TPE tubing
Sartorius Stedim Biotech’s BioWelder Total Containment (TC) permits sterile connection of liquid-filled thermoplastic tubing with an outer diameter of up to 1in. It is used on disposable bags or bag assemblies in all biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
The sterile welding process is fully automated and can be performed in non-classified or classified environments while maintaining product sterility.
The firm, which is headquartered in Aubagne, France and has manufacturing and r&d in Germany, says the thermal weld produced by the BioWelder TC has been fully tested to ensure a high level of stability, thus guaranteeing an ultra-safe connection.
Biological, physical and extractables tests were combined to obtain data representing a variety of process conditions, including critical applications.
