UV Flu Technologies buys RxAir Industries

UV Flu Technologies, a US developer of the ViraTech UV-400 equipment that kills airborne bacteria, has completed the acquisition of RxAir Industries, headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
RxAir is a US provider of air purification equipment designed for the medical and hospitality markets.
UV Flu Technologies has bought the company’s patented, trademarked product line, with national distributors and representatives, and all associated manufacturing equipment.
RxAir has been in business for 15 years, and has installed units in more than 400 hospitals across the US.
The company's two main products include the RX3000, which provides air purification coverage for spaces up to 2,000ft2, while the RX4500, which protects spaces of up to 5,000ft2, is suitable for the hospitality sector.
Both units are said to remove more than 99.97% of airborne contaminants and pathogens bigger than 0.3 microns in size. They combine multiple filter configurations, including HEPA, with germicidal UV lamps.
RxAir will be operated as a subsidiary of UV Flu Technologies.
“The enhanced product line will make us increasingly attractive to large US distributors, and increase our visibility within the hospital and hospitality marketplace,” said John Lennon, president of UV Flu Technologies.
