IMD-A continuously samples and tests sterile ambient air
Detection of airborne germs in real time – that’s what the IMD-A measuring system stands for.
It continuously samples and tests sterile ambient air and warns immediately when microbial contamination is detected. There is a simultaneous germ count with graphic display of all measuring results.
IMD-A is based on a straight-out visual measuring principle and records germs (including spores) from a size of 0.5µm. The sterile ambient air is sucked in automatically by the measuring device. There is no need for elaborate sample preparation or the use of external fluorescent dyes.
Conventional particles ranging in size from 0.5 to 5µm are also counted in parallel to the germ detection.
More complex qualification work on sterile processes is supported by the optional IMD camera system. This image recording runs synchronous to the germ count and enables correlation of counting results with interventions in the process flow.
