Isotron has opened its newly expanded labs in Swindon
European contract sterilisation service provider, Isotron, has celebrated completing the work to modernise and expand its microbiology laboratory facility in South Marston, Swindon, with an open day. In addition to providing sterilisation solutions, validations and support services to the medical device industry, Isotron, now part of the Synergy Health group, also operates a network of laboratories to satisfy the microbiological needs of the industry. The modernisation of the laboratory has created 10 new jobs.
During the open day local businesses and companies associated with Isotron met the team running the laboratory and had a tour of the new facilities.
The services offered include sterility dose validation & audit, bioburden analysis & speciation, environmental monitoring, residual testing (EtO), endotoxin & pyrogen LAL testing.
Mark Botting, UK sales manager at Isotron, said: “The open day was a great success. It provided an opportunity for Isotron to showcase the laboratory expansion and offered people a unique insight into the company.”
