PolyOne and Sanitized collaborate to inhibit bacteria

PolyOne Corporation, a global provider of specialised polymer materials, services and solutions, is joining forces with Swiss antimicrobials producer Sanitized, to provide customisable polymer solutions for healthcare and medical device applications.
Cleveland, Ohio, US-based PolyOne will use Sanitized’s MedX antimicrobials in selected formulations of its WithStand Antimicrobial Solutions, which consist of active ingredients developed using technology that helps to inhibit the growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi on plastic surfaces.
PolyOne WithStand solutions are suitable for healthcare applications, such as minimally invasive surgical device housings, respiratory and anesthesia devices, catheters, hospital furnishings and medical packaging.
